Room 1 “La Pelosa”
Spacious double room with private bathroom inside
The name of the room recalls La Pelosa, beautiful and famous beach in Stintino, only 45 km away from Alghero. La Pelosa is characteristic for its shallow and clear seabed, the white sand and for the near islet dominated by an ancient tower of 1578. Stintino, as well as for this beach, is a famous village because it is the nearest boarding point to visit the Asinaraisland and its National Park. Stintino is also rich in other places of naturalistic interest, not only for other beautiful beaches like Le Saline and Ezzi Mannu, with the characteristic white quartz pebbles instead of sand, but also for wild and unspoiled nature like Capo Falcone, dominated by the highest Spanish tower of the Nurra. Originally Stintino was a small fishermen’s village arrived from the nearby Asinara island and is located between the “Old” and “New” ports, where are moored the characteristic wooden boats with “latin sail”, of which the village is the “capital”, hosting also his famous regatta since 1983. The history and traditions of the village are connected to fishing and tuna’s processing shown at the Tonnara’s Museum (MUT). Fishing is also the primary element of the Stintino’s gastronomic tradition.
