Room 3 Alguer Mia

Passi Alterni Alguer Mia (1)
Spacious triple room with private and exclusive external bathroom (also bookable as double room).

The name of the room recalls the strong Catalan influences that characterizes Alghero, Known as “Barceloneta of Italy”. The city has a coastline of about 90 kilometers, known as “Riviera del Corallo”, where colonies of very precious coral live. Within the best known beaches near the city we remember Le Bombarde, Lazzarettoand Mugoni, all with light and thin sand and crystal clear sea. The city beach is the gorgeous “Lido San Giovanni” and, just going on, the sand dunes covered with centuries-old junipers of Maria Pia beach. Much of the coast is protected bythe Protected Sea Area “Capo Caccia – Isola Piana”, where hundreds of treasures are kept: the “Grotta di Nettuno” (Neptune’s cave), reachable by land with theEscala del Cabirol, and by sea with boats leaving from the tourist port: Porto Conte National Park, with its expanses of Mediterranean scrub; the rich wooded areas and the Calich lagoon. The domus de Janas of Santu Perdu, the necropolis of Anghelu Ruju and the nuragic village of Palmaveraand Sant’Imbenia, are evidence of the prehistoric roots of Alghero, starting from the Neolithic. The most fascinating part of the city is the historic center, a labyrinth of alleys that come out in squares full of life. Here the walls, the ancient houses, the churches and the names of the streets evoke again the Catalan origins of the city. Speaking about culture, you cannot miss a visit to the Coral Museum, the Archaeological City Museum, the Diocesan Museum and Casa Manno Museum. Alghero attracts for its naturalistic, historical and archaeological riches, for its gastronomy, its typical dish is the Catalan lobster, and it is a perfect holiday destination not only in summer for its wonderful sea. In fact, some events such as the Cap d’Any de l’Alguer, the traditional New Year which animates the historic center with its shows for weeks, and the religious rites of Holy Week, the “Setmana Santa de l’Alguer”, in which the influence of the Spanish tradition is very strong, populate the city with tourists even in the low season months.
